The door, thankfully, opens on the quarters that they're sharing at the moment. Rial glances out of the corner of his eye at the guards, still supporting Plourr.

To her, "Almost almost there, mmkay?"

To the guards, "Mind opening the door?"

She already threw her stylus. She doesn't want to throw her datapad.

So he just gets punched in the arm, instead.

She rolls her eyes. "Quit being a baby. I didn't even hit you that hard."

"Did so."

D:!!!

[fighting_mad]

His indignation is met with a flat look. "No, I didn't." And then her eyes return to her datapad.

Though her foot might just make contact with his hip and lightly shove.

Rial pouts for a moment longer.

Then smiles, pecks her lightly on the cheek, and gets up.

"I've got to go back to work, okay?"

"Okay," she says, and she sniffles perfectly serenely because she knows that she stole a datacard with half the workload from his 'pad, and he doesn't.

She glances up, at him. "Do you want to take a break in an hour? I think I could eat something simple."

He's probably going to laugh when he finds out.

Or facepalm.

"Sure, sounds good" A pause, and then, "Mind if I work in here?"

[fighting_mad]

Her slow, honest smile is probably a good indication that she'd been hoping to hear that. "As long as you don't mind the germs."

"Of course I don't."

He gets up, stretching, and wanders into the main room to retrieve his datapad and stylus. Comes back in and perches on the edge of the bed.

A pause and then, "I love you, you know. No matter what. Even if you snore."

She scoots over, back sliding along the wall, to give him room. "You're trying to make me punch you, aren't you?" she asks, but she's grinning. "I don't, you mynock. You do."

He leans back, smirking.

"Counts don't snore."

[fighting_mad]

She sets her shoulder against his, settling in beside him. "Neither do princesses."

[eiattu_pride]

Rial smiles, wraps an arm around her and lightly kisses the top of her head.

"Neither," he agrees, "do princesses."

And that's that.
