Rial has to stifle a snort of laughter that he suspects would wake Plourr up, grin spreading over his face as he takes another couple of steps into the bedroom and shakes his head quietly.

The bassinet is his first stop, taking a minute to quietly watch his daughter squirm a little in her sleep, mouth opening in a quiet yawn before she resettles and falls a little deeper into sleep. The next step is the bed and he lightly kicks his boots off, sitting down on the edge of the bed and running a hand lightly down Plourr's side.
